Racer Simon Trendell kept Phillip Ellis just 0.482 seconds behind him at Brands Grand Prix to take his first Shark Racing Jetta Club win after starting from second on the grid.
In third place was triple winner James Yates, who was 10.913 seconds off the race winner, and in 4th place was James A. Barrington who took the fastest lap of the race with a 1:43.255 on lap 7.
Barrington and Yates passed each other repeatedly, trading paint and fastest lap times. It was ultimately Yates who came out on top, putting his previous race victory experience to good use.
Further down the field, Tero Dahlberg recovered to 6th after starting on pole position. After a tough first lap which saw him take damage as he got hustled down the field, Dahlberg had to play catch up. In the late stages of the race, we overtook Jamie Wilson who had also damage from earlier on in the race.
The gap between Trendell and Ellis was visibly small as they crossed the line.
