Ian D Smythe wins at Brand Hatch Indy

Ian D Smythe has won the second Shark Racing Jetta club at brands hatch, after taking the lead from Steven Jones on lap 9 of the 30 lap race.

After a strong start from pole, Jones took charge of the race, followed closely by Smythe. As Smythe put Jones under pressure for the last corner, he went wide allowing for Smythe to take the lead.

Further down the field, Stephen Nelson and Brian Labode swapped positions continuously, neither driver giving a quarter as they fought for 6th position. Ultimately it would be Nelson who would take the position in the end, followed very closely by Labode.

Smythe only had to hold on to the lead from Jones, who finished the race just 0.772 seconds behind the race winner.

The fastest lap of the race went to James A. Barrington with a 54.143 on his 5th lap.
