James Yates survived a hectic outing at Sebring Modified to win his 3rd Jetta Club Race
Yates kept a cool head throuout the event, taking the win after starting on the second row of the grid. Nigel Morrison finished second, 18.769 seconds adrift followed by Tero Dahlberg who made a recovery drive after been taken out at the first corner.
Dahlberg had been leading up to the tight second corner, but a late dive by Zdenek Cagas forced them both wide, letting most of the field through. Other cars got tangled up in their own incidents on the run through the first and second turns, with many cars battling through the rest of the race with damage.
Stefano Balzani kept Yates honest for the majority of the race, following him within 2 seconds for much of the event. However, he retired just a couple of laps from the finish, leaving Yates to cruise to yet another victory.
Balzani took the fastest lap of the race, with a time of 1:21.235, on his 12 lap. Shaun Lees brought his car home in 4th, followed by Tony Dougan and Julian Dyer in the Shark Racing machine.
