Flawless win by Jones at Charlotte Road Course

Racing into the first corner at Charlotte

Driver Steven Jones dominated the Shark Racing Jetta Club race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

With a pole position time of 1:21.157s putting him at the front of the field, Jones lead away from the grid well, with Ian Smythe following in second.

James A Barrington moved up into second on lap 2, and proceeded to chase down Jones around the road course layout of the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Drivers racing hard at Charlotte

Driver Nigel Morrison made a strong start, and within a couple of laps was up to 3rd place after avoiding collisions between other cars.

Smythe recovered from a spin to catch up with Morrison, and on lap 12 passed him for 3rd place, where he would finish.

Jones wins again at Charlotte

Jones lead Barrington over the line with 09.035 in hand, with Smythe 32.975 away from the race winner. Jones also recorded a fastest lap of 1:21.261
